Bowling Proprietors Association of America names JB's On 41's owner recipient of Ruben A. Dankoff award for Public Policy

MILWAUKEE (March 12, 2014) – As a testament to his passion and commitment to the bowling community, David Bardon, the owner of Milwaukee-based JB’s on 41 Bowling Center, has been named the recipient of the Ruben A. Dankoff Award for Public Policy and Legislative Services by the Bowling Proprietors Association of America (BPAA).

Each year, the BPAA selects one owner or bowling industry leader who represents outstanding volunteer service on federal, state or local levels in the furthering of legislation, public policy initiatives or other political efforts to benefit the bowling industry.

Bardon’s leadership within the BPAA extends for many years, and he’s been very active in organizing seminars and presentations on issues important the BPAA and its members. He has spearheaded efforts to develop a database of bowling enthusiasts across the country to create connections with lobbyists to support local bowling centers.

At JB’s on 41, along with the other three bowling centers throughout Wisconsin that Bardon operates, he’s made a commitment to introducing the game of bowling to more children through the Kids Bowl Free program, which provides free bowling to students throughout the entire summer to create a passion for the game of bowling.

Bardon and other recipients of BPAA Industry Awards will receive his award at a luncheon during the Bowl Expo on Tuesday, June 23, at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Fla.
