Kids Bowl Free Program Kicks Off May 1 at JBs on 41

South 27th Street's JB's on 41 today announced a new program called Kids Bowl Free that allows kids throughout the Milwaukee area to bowl up to two free games each day this summer .

JB’s on 41, Milwaukee’s newest bowling center, wants children throughout the area to experience the joys of bowling all summer – for free. As part of the Kids Bowl Free program, Milwaukee-youth can now register to receive two free games of bowling at JB’s on 41 all summer long from May 1 through August 31 by clicking here

The program, which has been featured on NBC’s Today Show, Fox & Friends, and ABC Nightly News, is designed to get kids out of the house during the summer and experience the healthy elements of bowling. JB’s on 41, which recently underwent a complete makeover of the former Olympic on South 27th Street, features some  39,000 square feet of bowling bonanza along with arcade games, making it a great place for kids and their parents to visit for a cost-effective, fun night or day out.

“We’re here to bring the joy of bowling to families throughout the Milwaukee area,” said David Bardon, owner of JB’s on 41. “Programs like Kids Bowl Free can get youth as old as 5 or 6 into a place like JB’s and not just learn about bowling, but about teamwork, practice and just being active. We hope parents will take advantage of it and sign their children up today and come visit us this summer.”

JB’s on 41 offers traditional bowling options but also features a very unique light and party-atmosphere bowling experience called Galactic Bowling. Offered at other facilities throughout the country to some level, JB’s on 41 has raised the bar to create an experience you won’t find anywhere else in the state. Guests will enjoy bowling during a light and sound show, combined with runway lights up each lane and a fog machine pumping out fog. Music pumps throughout the four hour Galactic Bowling parties, offered both Friday and Saturday nights at JB’s on 41.

To participate in the program, all parents need to do is go to jbson41.com or kidsbowlfree.com and register their son or daughter. Then, each time they come to JB’s to bowl, the children simply scan their phone or enter their personal code for free games each day. Kids Bowl Free is just one way Bardon and his staff give back to the community.

“We believe it’s paramount to be a part of this community and really create a family atmosphere,” said Bardon. “We work with schools throughout the city and offer up free bowling for students who are accelerating academically, and we also regularly serve as a place for school and athletic program fundraisers. Kids are the future of bowling and we really hope every family in Milwaukee feels welcome at JB’s.”

Kids Bowl Free is a program that was started in 2010 and in the past three years has introduced bowling to more than 2.5 million families and 6.8 million children. Annually, nearly 65 million people will bowl, according to a recent study by Simmons National Consumer Study in May 2011.
