JCI Greenfield Hosts Annual Membership Picnic

The annual membership picnic offers family-friendly food and fun.

The beginning of August signals two can't-miss events in Southeastern Wisconsin - the Wisconsin State Fair and the JCI Greenfield Annual Membership Picnic. They go together like a deep fryer and a stick!

The annual membership picnic is a time for attendees to gather and relax for an afternoon of family-friendly fun. Members who aren't able to attend meetings or other events throughout the year because of work or family commitments make it a priority to attend this event.

This year's picnic, organized by long-time member Erin Cohn, was held at Whitnall Park in Franklin on Sunday, August 12. Past and present members, roosters, families, and guests were greeted with beautiful weather. Approximately two dozen people showed up to enjoy the food and fun.

The chapter provided burgers, brats, hot dogs, chips, and soda, while all attendees were asked to bring a dish to pass. Dishes included fruit, vegetables, salads and desserts, none of which were deep-fried or on a stick. Several attendees participated in games such as bean bag toss and ladder ball, while others spent time catching up with old friends.

With its relaxing atmosphere, the picnic is a perfect time to celebrate the chapter's accomplishments of the first half of the year, while also looking ahead to the events planned for the remainder of the year.
