Reminder: Annual JCI Greenfield Easter Egg Scramble is Saturday

The Annual JCI Greenfield Easter Egg Scramble is this Saturday at Konkel Park.

Members of JCI Greenfield have been hard at work preparing for the annual Easter Egg Scramble. This free event takes place this Saturday, March 31st at in Greenfield. With temperatures forecast for the mid-40s Saturday morning, this is sure to be a popular event!

In the weeks leading up to the event, members have gathered to hand-fill several thousand plastic Easter eggs with candy. Along with eggs, members also filled bags with coupons and other children's goodies donated by local-area businesses. The first 350 children at the park are guaranteed to receive a bag.

Starting at 10:30 a.m., local-area businesses will be on hand, as well as the Greenfield Police and Fire Departments. The Easter Bunny is also scheduled to make an appearance during the event, so plan to have your child's picture taken.

Just before 11 a.m., children will be divided into three age groups, and at 11 a.m. sharp, the scramble begins. It only takes a few minutes for the children to gather all of the eggs, so don't be late!

Treasurer and long-time member Lori Heiman said, "The hours of preparation are worth it when you see the kids with their baskets full of eggs."
