Greenfield Fourth of July Events Look to Sparkle

Planning is underway for Greenfield's 4th of July celebration, and residents and businesses are encouraged to participate.

Greenfield will be the site of the biggest and 'bestest' 4th of July Festival and Parade ever! We've been meeting since the end of the 2011 Festival.

Our now -experienced organizing committee, having produced last year's successful event, is pulling out all stops.

Key to the master festival plan is participation by the Greenfield business community and local merchants. Toward this end, we hope that everyone will see the value and rewards of building "community awareness" by participating. The 4th of July parade last year had large crowds. Increased numbers of parade participants and parade gazers are highly anticipated.

A mid-week event with Independence Day falling on a Wednesday plus gas prices being what they are, many folks will be staying close to home on the 4th. Local festivals and parades with huge crowds will be music to the eyes and ears of smart business folks looking to showcase themselves amidst all the many activities.

"My phone has been ringing off the hook with companies and retailers calling to inquire about how to join the effort," states parade committee member Dennis Ervin. "The 2012 Greenfield Parade will be the finest parade in southeast Wisconsin," Ervin says.
