Mahalo Nui Loa - Thank You Very Much!

It was hard to find time to stop and reflect on what today is all about - until today is nearly over. I am thankful to have made it through this week; grateful that more and more people choose to enjoy a Bakers Square pie after their holiday meal, for a special occasion or for no reason at all. 

I am grateful to have a job that I enjoy getting up for in the morning - even after having closed the night before. Working for has allowed me to meet so many people and be a part of great organizations, all the while allowing me time be there for the majority of my kid's many activities in and out of school. I am especially thankful:

• that my trip back home to Maui earlier this year was not in vain - my Mom can now run circles around me;
• to have had the opportunity to help organize our city's 4th of July Celebration;
• to have learned a fair amount of baseball, football, volleyball and soccer through my kid's eyes and the tireless committment of their coaches and volunteers who taught my kids more than the fundamentals of each sport, but what it meant to be a good sport;  
• to be given the privilege of leading a group of 10 year olds in their final year as Junior Girl Scouts;
• to have the continued support and friendship of friends and family;
• to have the newfound support and friendship of friends that I meet each day;
• for a chance to write about what I want, when I want!  Thanks Patch!

Most important of all, I am thankful to have two reasons why I look forward to each day; two reasons why I make the most of each day; two reasons why I try to make good decisions in all that I am a part of, that I do and that I say, I am thankful for a couple great kids!  Mom loves you Jason and Maya!
