Warming Up for Greenfield's 4th of July Celebration!

Wow! I have been away far too long! I love the new look Patch! Yes, I have been remiss in posting to my blog – with good reasons: I have been enjoying my new position at Bakers Square – Greenfield; catching many a game in another season with Greenfield Little League; on a new adventure with Harley Davidson’s 110th Anniversary Firefighter Recognition Day Planning Committee; my kids are older and busier, and, of course, planning this year’s 4th of July Celebration for the City of Greenfield! We are a month away from stepping off for this year’s parade! Homegrown Honorary Grand Marshals, Joel and Rachel Stave, will lead the parade down to Konkel park. This year, we are excited to see the return of Greenfield High School’s Marching Band and the UW Marching Band. Bucky will be making an appearance at the UW Marching Band’s 5th Quarter Performance following the parade. Joining us for the first time since this group has been a part of planning this event, we are glad to welcome Whitnall High School’s Marching Band! The parade will begin at 12:15 p.m. from 68th Street and Layton Avenue, marching its way down to Konkel Park. An afternoon of fun, food and beverage, inflatable rides, and entertainment under the Main Tent is a taste of what the evening will bring! Step-In-Out Band will rock our night until the big bang at dusk.
