A Monster is Born
Greenfield Patch's book blogger is getting ready for another read-a-thon weekend.
After the success of last month's read-a-thon (despite the emotional break down I suffered at the conclusion) I am diving into another this weekend. I know; I think I've lost my mind, too! Tomorrow at 7 a.m. marks the beginning of the fall Dewey's Read-a-Thon. This is the read-a-thon that made me want to do a read-a-thon. The one that I simply haven't been able to join for the past three years.
Finally able to participate this weekend, my friend Laura and I have planned plenty of food, meals, snacks and caffinated beverages. I've selected three or four books to read and I'm eagerly awaiting tomorrow morning, when I'll pack up and head to Laura's and settle in to the comfortably overstuffed red chair next to her fireplace and read for hours on end. Though . . . I'm not going to make the 24-hour thing, I'm sure! Rather, I'm aiming for 12 hours and three to four books. Though, one of those books is a thousand-plus-page Diana Gabaldon, so I might fall short!
What are you all doing this weekend?
