Be Sure to Check Out 'Somewhere Between'

A local non-profit organization sponsors an adoption-related film in this year's Milwaukee Film Festival

As a movie buff, I'm ashamed and embarrassed to admit that I've never actually been to the Milwaukee Film Festival. I know, I know . . . I don't know what's wrong with me, either! But this year, I figure I have a pretty good reason to go! The organization I work for, Adoption Resources of Wisconsin, is sponsoring one of the documentary films that will be screened at the festival!

"Our" film is titled Somewhere Between, a documentary about transracial adoption. The film features four Asian adoptees who go on a journey to find their birth families. Along the way, the girls tackle the tough issues of culture, gender, race and self-acceptance. Sounds pretty good, right? (I thought so, too!)

So, hopefully you'll be able to catch one of the screenings! There are only two of them and tickets are already on sale, so be sure to buy soon! You can see Somewhere Between at the Downer on September 23 or at the Ridge on September 25. Here's some more information about the Milwaukee Film Festival and how to get Somewhere Between tickets:
