Let the bidding begin!

An online auction supporting a local charitable organization has opened for bids.

As I headed out to work this morning, I made a very important stop at the Greenfield Community Center and cast my vote in the election. As Tom Bergeron said last night as he was closing this week's episode of Dancing with the Stars, "be a part of the poetry of democracy." So, you know, go vote and all that jazz!

I carried on my merry way to my office, where I force my thoughts away from books and reading to matters of more pressing importance for the time being: gala planning. Oy, but my brain is a frightening place to be these days, dear reader. There are oodles upon oodles of chaotic mad thoughts pertaining to all of the little details that must be attended to in order for this special event to go down well. I have a little over a week left, but the VIP task for this week was setting up the online auction. And that's what I want to share today! There are several items listed on the ARW online auction - lots of sports stuff, some services and even - how cool is this - an autographed Hunger Games movie poster! So, after you've done your civic duty, take a gander at the online auction, would you? All of the proceeds benefit Adoption Resources of Wisconsin (aka ARW) and you could get some pretty cool stuff out of it! (Then go back to your books!)

Oh, and, p.s., tickets are still available if you're interested in attending the live event next Thursday! I'll be there - we can totally talk books!

Steve, go down to the "village square" burn a blue fist. Or, maybe in front of WAL-MART.

As a producer I have better things to do. Drum circles are the blue fisters circle jerk.

Steve, Like an Okie from Muskogee, I still wave 'Ol Bluefist down by the Courthouse.
