WWW Wednesday: A Book Blog

It's WWW Wednesday! Catching up on what I read, what I'm reading and what I will be reading.

I missed yesterday! I apologize - I was busy, busy, busy with meetings and deadlines and tasks and so forth. So, instead, I'm posting a WWW Wednesday post, because you know I have to get my book talk in. (And, if all goes well today, I'll post another chapter of "All the Things We've Never Said!")

WWW Wednesday

What are you currently reading?

I'm currently reading Fifty Shades Darker, book two in the Fifty Shades triology.

What did you just recently finish reading?

I just finished These Three Remain by Pamela Aidan. That was the third and final book in her Fitzwilliam Darcy, Gentleman triology, a retelling of Pride and Prejudice from Darcy's point of view.

What do you think you'll read next?

I have two books from the (don't forget the ), so it'll be one of those. I have Julia's Child by Sarah Pinneo and Death Comes to Pemberly by P.D. James.

What are you all reading?

Jenna, how can you let work get in the way of blogging for Patch? :)

You must have enjoyed the first 50 Shades if you started the second one.
I love mystery novels, but P.D. James was too dry for me. The characters are as clinical as the forensics. She's no Agatha.

Oh my goodness, I KNOW! What nerve! ;) I promise not to let it happen again . . . or, well, at least not all that often!

You know, I'm still a little reluctant to say it, but I did enjoy "Fifty Shades of Grey." Don't get me wrong, the writing is not all that great. But, underneath the vast amount of steamy scenes, there is a story. And, for a romantic such as myself, it is pretty irresistible. Are there better books out there? Sure. But the "Fifty Shades" trilogy is definitely a fun little diversion. :)
Ooh, thanks for the heads up about P.D. James. I've heard a lot about "Death Comes to Pemberly," so I'm eager to see if I'll enjoy it. What are you reading these days?

Currently I am perusing a coffee-table book - _Envision - a History of the GE Healthcare Business_. This is a bit large to take to bed, so I also am reading _Punished by Rewards_ by Alfie Kohn. He tends to belabor his points, though, so when I am tired of slogging my way through that I reach for my tattered copy of _Blue Champagne_ by John Varley. He's one of my favorite science fiction authors and this must be the third or fourth time I have gone through this collection of short stories.

Steve, go down to the "village square" burn a blue fist. Or, maybe in front of WAL-MART.

As a producer I have better things to do. Drum circles are the blue fisters circle jerk.
