MILWAUKEE -- Alverno College won the opening set against Milwaukee School of Engineering, but the host Raiders won the final three sets for the 3-1 match victory tonight in the Kern Center.

The Inferno (3-13, 0-4 Northern Athletics Conference) jumped out to a 13-6 lead in the first set before the Raiders (3-11, 1-3 NAC) battled back to tie it up, 18-18. Yet Alverno rattled off five-straight points and won the set 25-19.

The visitors jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the second set, but the hosts clawed their way back to a 14-14 tie and finally took a lead, which they extended to 20-15. Alverno pulled to within one, 21-20, but four straight points ended the set, 25-20, and evened the match at one apiece.
