MILWAUKEE -- The visiting Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons swept Alverno College in a Northern Athletics Conference doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at Alverno Field.

The Falcons (19-13, 13-5 NAC) won the opener 4-2, and then blasted the Inferno 17-3 in the nightcap.

Alverno's Stef Wilmore recorded a hit in each game to extend her school-record hitting streak to 20 games, while Megan Rossi reached on a walk in game one and doubled in game two to extend her reached base streak to 20.

In the opener, the Inferno (12-10, 4-8) opened the scoring in the first inning with an RBI-single by Wilmore that plated Jamie Villalobos who had a leadoff single. However, the Falcons answered with a run in the top of the second, and took a 3-1 lead with a pair of runs in the fourth.

Emily Ortner bagged a triple in the bottom of the fifth to score Stephanie Skibba and pull the Inferno within one, but a solo home run by Concordia in the sixth was the game's final tally.

In game two, the Falcons smashed five homers on 16 hits, including three blasts by Cara Landherr. The Inferno mustered eight hits, but couldn't match the power and scored just three times.

Villalobos led the Inferno with a 2-for-3 performance at the plate, but picked up the loss in the pitchers circle to even her record to 6-6 on the season. Melissa Perkins (10-6) picked up the complete-game victory for Concordia.

Alverno gets right back to action with a two-game series at Wisconsin Lutheran College tomorrow. First pitch is at 12 p.m.
