Inferno Golfers Come Up Short In Program Debut

SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis. -- Alverno College competed in its first-ever golf meet in a dual versus Lakeland College Saturday at the Bull at Pinehurst Farms, but the Inferno's first-year program came up short and fell to the Muskies, 464-643.

Trina Urick entered the clubhouse with the Inferno's top score of the day at 150, whileKristen Speerschneider came in with a round of 158.

Jamie Villalobos and Stef Wilmore earned the final two score for the team at 165 and 170, while Megan Rossi and Gissella Sueldo posted individual scores of 174 and 178.

Lakeland's Finni Simko led all golfers with a low round of 102.

Alverno competes in the program's second-ever dual at Marian University tomorrow. First tee time is at noon at Whispering Springs Golf Course in Fond du Lac.
