Big Comeback for Falcon Wrestlers in Win Over South Milwaukee

Dominance in the lighter weights enables Whitnall wrestling team to score important Woodland Conference victory over South Milwaukee.

After falling behind 30-18, Whitnall High School's wrestlers posted four straight wins to beat South Milwaukee 40-30 Wednesday night. The win kept alive Whitnall's hopes of finishing among the top three in the Woodland Conference.

South Milwaukee dominated the heavier half of the 14 contests, winning five out of seven. But the Falcons took six of seven in the lighter weights, where three pins and a major decision accounted for the margin of victory.

Dylan Kellner, Michael Langenohl, Anthony Senthavisouk and Joe Price pinned their South Milwaukee opponents. Blake Leslie won by major decision. Nick Monty and Zach Barnhart earned decisions, Barnhart's in overtime. Josh Rinka won by forfeit.
