Milwaukee Art Museum Family Holiday Programming

Holiday break is fast approaching, leaving many parents to wonder how they'll keep thier kids busy during the downtime.  This year, the Milwaukee Art Museum has an entertaining and educational solution - extended hours in the Kohl's Art Generation Studio!

In addition to its regular Saturday and Sunday hours, the Studio will be open Wednesday, December 26 through Tuesday, January 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The Kohl's Art Generation Studio is a hands-on art experience that features a variety of activities and art projects daily, with new projects each month.  Families can choose to stop in for a few minutes or to spend an entire day creating art together.

Just in time for the holidays, the current Studio theme is "Wrap it Up."  Kids are invited to make art-inspired holiday gifts to share with friends and family or to keep for themselves!  They can make a special package inspired by boxes in the Museum's Collection, create unique wrapping paper or make a colorful noisemaker for New Year's Eve.

The Kohl's Art Generation program is designed to give kids an appreciation for art through participation in exciting, creative and hands-on projects that they can take home.  Kohl's Art Generation is made possible through $4.3 million from Kohl's Cares and Kohl's Department Stores to the Milwaukee Art Museum.
