'Garden Revitalization Series Kicks Off May 15

With the growing season right around the corner, I wanted to let you know about this upcoming series I'll be leading at Boerner Botanical Gardens in Hales Corners this season.

Garden Revitalization Series with Melinda Myers to Kick off on May 15!
Hosted by the Friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens

Spring Renewal - Wednesday, May 15th & Tuesday, May 21st, 6:30 pm
See what's blooming in the gardens and start a list of colorful spring beauties you'll want to add to your garden. We will look at a variety of plants from groundcovers to the towering trees. Form, texture and colorful flowers and emerging leaves will be the focus of this walk.

Sizzling Summer Beauties - Wed., July 17th & Tuesday, July 23rd, 6:30 pm
The annuals are up and growing and summer perennials are in bloom. We will look at new plant introductions and traditional favorites that are thriving this summer that also tend to perform well in Wisconsin's variable weather, giving you plenty of ideas for jazzing up your landscape.

Fall Finale - Saturday, October 5th, 10 am
Fall is a great time to plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees. And a walk through Boerner Botanical Gardens will help you gather ideas for additions you'll want to add to your landscape now or next season. We will look at multi-season plants that provide interest to the landscape in fall and beyond.

Fall Finale Family Fun Walk - Saturday, October 5th, 1 pm
$25 per family (up to 5 individuals).
We'll explore the touch, sound and smells of the gardens as we find all that fall offers. Our walk includes a scavenger hunt, bark rubbings, leaf prints and a garden activity you'll take home to grow.
