After Overdose, Greenfield Man Charged with Felony Drug Possession, Police Say

A 32-year-old Greenfield man revived by paramedics after a drug overdose is now facing felony drug charges, according to police.

Jason Ryan Gray was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court with felony possession of narcotic drugs and faces a maximum of 3 ½ years of imprisonment, $10,000 in fines or both.

According to the criminal complaint, Gray’s girlfriend called police Aug. 22, from their apartment in the 3300 block of South 100th Street after she was unable to wake Gray, whom she found on the couch with blue lips and labored breathing.

Paramedics revived Gray by administering two doses of Narcan. Two days later, when interviewed by police, Gray admitted he has been a heroin addict for a decade and had just spent 4 months in jail for possession of heroin and was on probation, according to court documents.

He called a drug dealer who brought him three dime bags of heroin and a new needle. He injected one full dime bag, according to the complaint.

Police found drug paraphernalia and the remaining heroin in the kitchen.
