The thefts included emblems from several makes and models, including Toyota, Chevrolet and Hyundai. Most of the emblems were ripped off the trunks, though some were taken from hubcaps and other parts of vehicles.

According to Police Chief Brad Wentlandt, the department hasn’t had a reported emblem theft in “probably 15 years and we haven’t heard of any in the area.”
