Brookfield Square Mall Drug Deal Results in Charges

Greenfield man faces up to nine years in prison if convicted of dealing heroin, according to a criminal complaint.

A 21-year-old Greenfield man faces up to nine years in prison if convicted of delivering heroin in the Brookfield Square Mall parking lot.

Robert M. Conrey was charged Tuesday in Waukesha County Circuit Court with delivering heroin and maintaining a drug trafficking place.

According to the criminal complaint:

Conrey sold .09 grams of heroin for $100 to a informant working with the Waukesha County Metro Drug Unit in the mall parking lot. Authorities were also aware that Conrey conducted two drug deals in Greenfield on May 23 and July 29 while under police surveillance.

A detective made contact with Conrey on Oct. 8 outside the Waukesha County Huber Jail. Conrey told the detective he was addicted to opiates since he was 14 years old, having used heroin for seven to eight years.

Conrey told the detective he picks up the heroin in Milwaukee for personal use, but also purchases some for friends.
