Disgruntled Former Diamond Jim's Employee Charged With Slashing Tires

Suspect was fired after it was suspected he was stealing money and then came back later in the day to slash the tires.

A St. Francis man is facing charges for slashing the tires of seven vehicles at after he was fired on suspicion he was stealing money.

Eric Harrington, 33, was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Friday with one count of criminal damage to property. If convicted, he faces up to nine months in prison and $10,000 in fines.

Harrington was fired from the dealership Nov. 6, after he was suspected of stealing money. After being fired, he came back to the dealership to talk to a manager, who told him to leave. He then came back later in the night and slashed at least two tires on seven different vehicles in the parking lot of the dealership.

The incident was caught by surveillance cameras. Harrington was wearing the same clothes he had on earlier in the day.

He will make his initial appearance in court Wednesday.
