Drug Charges Follow Oak Creek Man Pulled Over in Greenfield

A Greenfield K-9 unit found marijuana in the suspect's car while he's performing a field sobriety test.

A 31-year-old Oak Creek man faces charges after he was caught in Greenfield allegedly carrying marijuana in his car.

Jonah M. Stasinopoulas was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Saturday with one count of second offense possession of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana. If convicted, he faces up to 3 ½ years in prison and $10,000 in fines.

On July 25, A Greenfield police officer spotted Stasinopoulas speeding in a car with an expired registration and pulled him over in the 4500 block of South 60th Street. While talking to Stasinopoulas about swerving while driving, the officer began investigating the case as a possible operating while intoxicated charge.

While Stasinopoulas was performing a field sobriety test, a K-9 police unit found a prescription pill bottle in his car with marijuana inside.

Stasinopoulas has been turned over to the JUSTICE 2000 program while awaiting trial.
