'Fill the Boot' Closing in on Goal of $35,000

Great weather and even better generosity has the Greenfield firefighters within striking distance of its three-day goal for .

According to firefighter and co-coordinator Andy Greil, firefighters and $12,333 Saturday for a total of $25,442.

"We had a goal of $35,000, or at least make as much ($30,000) as last year," Greil said. "Looks like we are on our way to it with the great weather today."

All money raised goes to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Greil said firefighters would remain at 76th and Layton until approximately 4 p.m. this afternoon.
