Fill the Boot Fundraiser Postponed Because of Extreme Weather
The three-day event will now be June 20-22.
The Greenfield Fire Department, Local 1963 and Muscular Dystrophy Association officials have decided to postpone the .
The event will now be June 20-22, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The decision to postpone was made in anticipation of the extreme weather and heat advisory on Wednesday, and predicted rainfall on Thursday and Friday.

"This was done for the safety of the firefighters," firefighter/paramedic and event co-coordinator Andy Greil said. "Citizens of the community expect our firefighters to be ready and on the top of their game, and that could not be guaranteed after running around on the pavement for 8 hours in that heat.
"Ultimately, we are hoping for ideal weather conditions so we can raise the most money possible for this great cause."
