On July 23, a Greenfield police officer was investigating a case of child neglect and he went to Medina’s apartment in the 6300 block of South 35th Street because he was a person of interest in the case. While talking to Medina, the officer discovered he had an active arrest warrant pending against him, so he called for backup to take Medina into custody.
However, Medina appeared nervous and tried to run from the officer, but was stopped after the officer pulled on his shirt. Medina then turned around and tried to punch the officer in the face, so the officer responded by hitting him in the face.

The two fell to the ground where Medina continued to try and punch the cop, but was unsuccessful. Eventually the officer hit him again and Medina said “OK, I quit, I’ll stop,” then rolled onto his stomach so he could be handcuffed.
Medina is currently being held in Milwaukee County Jail on a $200 signature bond.
