Suspect threatened to "stick" the knife in the other man's throat, witness says.

According to the criminal complaint, at 5 a.m. Monday, John D. Chelig was chasing another man in the 4600 block of South Crawford Avenue with a knife. A person who saw the chase told police Chelig said, β€œI will stick this in your throat,” as he was chasing the other man.

Chelig was arrested and was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Tuesday with one count of disorderly conduct while using a dangerous weapon. If convicted, he faces up to 90 days in prison and $1,000 in fines.
