Greenfield Man Charged With 2010 Milwaukee Burglary
Suspect, 18, stole 11 firearms from a gun safe after the owner forgot to lock it before leaving for a hunting trip.
An 18-year-old Greenfield man is facing charges in Milwaukee County Circuit Court for his role in a 2010 burglary in Milwaukee where he stole 11 firearms and a bag of quarters.
Tyrone Donte Simmons was charged Saturday with one count of burglary and one count of bail jumping. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years and nine months in prison, and $60,000 in fines.

Simmons and another man broke into a house in the 4400 block of North 82nd Street in Milwaukee and stole the firearms and coins while the homeowners were gone in November 2010.
Although the guns were kept in a gun safe, a woman who lived at the home said her husband had gone hunting and must have forgotten to lock it again before he left.

Police tracked the burglary to Simmons after they obtained a fingerprint from his accomplice who admitted to taking part in the thefts with Simmons.
Simmons is currently being held in Milwaukee County Jail on $15,000 cash bail.
