Greenfield Man Charged With Beating Roomate

The suspect hit the victim so badly he needed to have a cut glued shut by rescue workers.

A Greenfield man is facing felony charges after he allegedly beat his roommate in their apartment.

Donald W. Smith, 40, was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court
Friday with one count of substantial battery domestic abuse. If convicted, he faces up to 3 Β½ years in prison and $10,000 in fines.

Smith got into an altercation with his roommate Tuesday in their apartment in the 6100 block of West Howard Avenue and straddled over the victim and began to punch him repeatedly in the face. He also kicked the victim multiple times, who was unable to block the blows being delivered.

The victim suffered injuries to his eye and arm, and suffered a laceration that needed to be glued shut with a skin adhesive in order to halt the bleeding.

Smith is currently being held in Milwaukee County Jail on $1,000 cash bail.
