Man Charged With Fifth OWI After Driving Drunk to Case Manager

The 50-year-old Greenfield man had an open drunk-driving case from March and three previous convictions

UPDATE: Daryl Paradowski was charged with 5th offense driving with a prohibited alcohol concentration and bail jumping Friday, according to a criminal complaint.

Milwaukee County sheriff deputies arrested Darryl Paradowski, 50, of Greenfield, after he submitted a preliminary breath test of .12 at a scheduled supervision appointment with his OWI case manager this morning, according to the sheriff's office.

Paradowski told his Wisconsin Community Services case manager that he had driven to the appointment, and she confiscated his keys.

He was taken to court, where his bail was increased to $6,800 from $1,800 cash bail. Continued WCS supervision was also ordered.

Deputies took Paradowski into custody and he submitted to a legal blood draw. He was issued citations for a fourth OWI and violation of his driver's license restrictions and taken to the County Correctional Facility-Central.

The District Attorney’s Office will review the case for charging. Paradowski’s prior OWI convictions were in April 1990, November 1996, January 2001, and he has an open fourth OWI case from March 13, 2011. If convicted on the open case, today’s charges will be amended to a fifth OWI, a felony, with up to three years imprisonment.
