Greenfield Man Pulls Knife on Brother During Argument, Police Say

A 56-year-old Greenfield man accused of pulling a pellet gun and a knife on his brother during an argument is facing more than a dozen years of imprisonment.

Larry Elam, who lives in the 4200 block of South 122nd Street, was charged with second degree recklessly endangering safety and domestic abuse with the use of a dangerous weapon in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Sept. 23.

If convicted, Elam faces a maximum of 15 years of imprisonment, $25,000 in fines or both.

According to the criminal complaint, Larry Elam slapped his brother in the face during an argument in Elam’s home on South 122nd Street on Sept. 20. His brother slapped him back, leading Larry Elam to pull out a gun, later determined to be a pellet gun, and point it at his brother’s face.

When his brother did not react, according to court documents, Larry Elam then went to the kitchen, returned with a serrated knife and made stabbing motions at his brother’s stomach before other people in the home disarmed him.
