Greenfield Police Respond to Three Separate Stabbings Over the Weekend

Two of the cases were incidents of domestic violence.

In addition to Sunday’s stabbing that resulted in the victim and his friend calling for , the responded to two additional stabbings over the weekend.

According to Deputy Inspector Brad Wentlandt, at approximately 4 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 4600 block of South 84th Street where officers found a 38-year-old woman who allegedly had stabbed her 33-year-old husband in the arm with a pen. The wife was arrested for domestic violence battery while armed, posted bail and was released pending charges Monday.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. Sunday, police responded to a 911 call of a stabbing in the 4000 block of 35th Street, where officers found a 52-year-old man with a minor stab wound to his arm. His 53-year-old wife was arrested for domestic violence battery while armed and is at the Milwaukee County jail awaiting charges.

In addition, at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, an officer attempted to stop a vehicle for suspicion of drunk driving on 68th Street. The driver tried to elude the officer by driving into the apartment complex with the officer in pursuit. The officer used the Pursuit Intervention Technique, the 26-year-old driver, a Greenfield man, was arrested for OWI and felony attempting to elude an officer and is currently at the county jail awaiting charges.
