Greenfield Police Use Facebook To Thwart Alleged Underage Drinking Party

The department caught wind of the alleged party on the social networking tool.

The Greenfield Police Department turned away several party-goes when officers responded to an alleged underage drinking party in the 6900 block of West Van Norman Avenue at 10:30 p.m. May 20.

Police, however, were unable to gain entry into the house because those inside refused to answer the door. At one point, someone inside the house closed the blinds, according to the police report.

While police were at the scene, they spoke to an adult leaving the house who indicated underage drinking was occurring inside. Police also turned away several vehicles that arrived at the scene.
