The victim complained of pain and was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Police officers noticed Higgins smelled of alcohol, and had her perform field sobriety tests she then failed.

Higgins submitted to a Breathaylzer test, which revealed she had a blood alcohol level of 0.152, which is nearly twice the legal limit to drive in Wisconsin.

Higgins was convicted of her first OWI in December. She will make her initial appearance in court Thursday.
