Greenfield Woman Charged With Fifth OWI After Trip to Walgreens

Suspect was spotted drunk at an area Walgreens after spending the day drinking brandy at home.

A 44-year-old Greenfield woman is facing her fifth drunk driving charge after she was spotted going to an area Walgreens.

Lori Lynn Britz was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Wednesday with one count of fifth offense operating while intoxicated. If convicted, she could face up to six years and $10,000 in fines.

On Saturday, Greenfield police were called to , 4296 S. 76th St., after someone witnessed Britz come to the store drunk then get into her car and drive away on West Coldspring Road.

Police were provided a license plate number and went to Britz’s apartment in the 7000 block of West Coldspring Road. Britz told officers she had been drinking brandy throughout the day and admitted driving to Walgreens.

Britz was previously convicted of OWI in 1994, 1996, 2001 and 2006. She’s currently being held in Milwaukee County Jail on $2,000 cash bond.
