If Greenfield Fire Department Consolidated, North Shore Would be Model

A report by FOX6 spoke with the North Shore fire chief to see how consolidation worked there.

According to a report by Patch partner FOX6 NOW, the North Shore Fire Department would be the model any consolidation effort in this area would likely be built to resemble.

Henry Rosoff of FOX6 spoke with Greenfield Mayor Michael Neitzke and North Shore Fire Department Chief Robert WhitakerNeitzke told FOX6 Greenfield is in the early stages of a possible move, and Whitaker praised the benefits of the consolidation of the departments from Brown Deer, Whitefish Bay, Shorewood and other communities.

"I don't think anyone in the seven communities could tell you there's less service being provided," Whitaker told FOX6. "Here I can show you statistically we're providing a better service."
