Christian Diaz-Pabon, a 29-year-old Milwaukee man, was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct with use of a dangerous weapon Jan. 24, after police say he wielded a knife while yelling in a Greenfield Walgreens parking lot.
According to the criminal complaint, a woman, whom Greenfield NOW reported was an off-duty Milwaukee Police Officer, heard yelling coming from behind her while she was in the parking lot at Walgreens, 4296 S. 76th St., Jan. 15.
When she looked to see where the noise was coming from, she saw Diaz-Pabon yelling and walking in her direction with an 8-inch bladed knife in his hand.
The witness got into her car and attempted to leave the parking lot. As she turned out of her parking spot, she once again saw Diaz-Pabon standing in the roadway with the knife concealed in his sleeve. The woman had to drive around Diaz-Pabon to avoid hitting him.
She then watched him get into the passenger side of a vehicle and obtained the license plate for that vehicle. She contacted Greenfield police and followed the car for a while before she eventually lost sight of it.
If convicted, Diaz-Pabon faces a maximum of 9 months of imprisonment and $1,000 in fines.
