The victim told police the night before her ex-boyfriend, Rosario, and his two friends came over to her Greenfield home. They stayed up all night until around 6:30 a.m. when Rosario asked the victim about past relationships with men. She answered, and Rosario responded by slapping her and then punching her in the face several times. She fell back after the punches, at which point Rosario started to kick her, court documents say.

She tried to leave the room, but Rosario wouldn’t let her, though her child was crying in another room and someone was knocking at the door. He let her answer the door; it was her neighbor knocked, who she left with and went to his home to call police.
