Man Accused of Stealing his Grandmother's Debit Card

Suspect, 20, allegedly stole the card racked up $1,900 in charges.

A Milwaukee man is facing charges after he allegedly stole his grandmother’s debit card from her Greenfield home and used it to buy items for more than a week.

Alex A. Koziczkowski, 20, was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Tuesday with one count of unwarranted use of ID for financial gain. If convicted, he could face up to six years in prison and $10,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

Koziczkowski took the card from the victim’s home and used it at various locations to purchase items between Dec. 22 and Jan. 3. During the time frame he purchased $1,941 in items.

He admitted to the crime to police, saying he and a friend were using the card.

He’s currently being held in county jail on a $500 signature bond.
