A Greenfield police officer was on patrol in the 5100 block of South 27th Street Saturday when he saw Blagojevic fighting with another man outside of The Scuttlebutt Lounge. The officer broke up the fight and placed both men under arrest until he could figure out what happened.

The officer learned Blagojevic had assaulted a woman inside the bar and was at fault for the fight and was then taken into custody.

Once at the Greenfield police station, Blagojevic refused to cooperate while getting his fingerprints taken and continued to swear at officers and pound on a holding cell door. He was allowed to make a phone call, but then refused to return to the holding cell.

Two officers were able to restrain him and get him back to the cell at which point they tried to handcuff him to a table. While an officer was bending over to fasten the cuffs, Blagojevic lunged at him and tried to bite the officer.

A second officer was able to place Blagojevic in a headlock and restrain him until he could be shackled by officers.

He’s currently free on a $250 signature bond while awaiting trial.
