At 10:27 p.m. Monday, Greenfield police officers were called to after Burzynski had been acting obnoxious and threatened to kill another patron at the tavern. A bartender said Burzynski had been drinking alone at the bar for 2 ½ hours and started to become obnoxious after he got drunk.

Burzynski was setting off his car alarm while inside the bar, then told another patron he was a police officer and was going to pull him over as soon as he left the bar. Burzynski flashed a badge to the other patrons, but didn’t say which department he worked for.

The man and his friends went outside of the bar to smoke, but waited to keep an eye on Burzynski, who they suspected would be driving. Burzynski came out of the bar and got into his SUV, then squealed his tires out of the parking lot and drove fast onto South 43rd Street. He then stopped, backed up slightly then got out of the truck and shouted “I got a gun now you (racial slur)” and “I’ll (expletive) kill you. I’ll (expletive) kill you all.”

Burzynski motioned towards his shirt as if he was getting a gun, so the man and his friends fled and hid under cars until Burzynski left.
