Four Baggies of Marijuana in Man's Mouth During Shoplifting Arrest, Police Say

Terry T. Johnson was caught trying to steal watches from Kmart when Greenfield officers found the drugs, according to the criminal complaint.

A Milwaukee man is facing charges after he was arrested with four baggies of marijuana stuffed in his mouth after getting caught trying to steal watches from Kmart, police say.

Terry T. Johnson, 27, was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Tuesday with one count possession of THC, which is the active ingredient in marijuana, and one count of retail theft. If convicted, he faces up to four years in prison and $20,000 in fines.

On Friday, according to the criminal complaint, a security officer at Kmart spotted Johnson enter the store, then take two men’s watches, conceal them in his sweatshirt pocket and walk into the men’s bathroom. After he exited the bathroom, the officer looked in the bathroom and found boxes for the watches and one broken watch, which Johnson apparently couldn’t get the security tag off of, the complaint said.

Johnson then stood in a checkout line, but decided to ditch the other watch in the line and tried to walk out of the store before being stopped by security, the complaint said. Greenfield police officers were called to the store and an officer noticed four baggies of marijuana inside Johnson’s mouth.

Johnson admitted to taking the watches, according to the complaint, and also told police he facilitates deals between drug dealers and sellers. He is being held in custody on a $500 signature bond and has been ordered turned over to the JUSTICE 2000 program for supervision while awaiting trial.
