Man to Police: Is Porn at Work Illegal?

The man told police he received a work from call from someone who said they had found pornography on his computer.

If you have to ask police if something is illegal, it’s probably a good idea to stop doing it.

A Greenfield man called Greenfield police to ask about what he felt was a suspicious phone call July 9. He told police, according to the department’s incident log, that he had received a call from a man who “sounded very official” who told him his work computer had been monitored and an excessive amount of pornography found.

The man told him he would be contacted again soon.

Two women at the man’s place of employment told police they were the only ones there at the time the call took place; they said neither of them made the call nor did they allow anyone to use the phone.

The man who contacted police, of course, did ask officers if it was illegal to view pornography on his work computer.
