Man With Open Warrant Cited After Child Dials 911 While Playing
The child's dad had an open arrest warrant with another police department.
Children are taught a lot of reasons why they should not dial 911 unless it’s an emergency.
"Because daddy has an open warrant” isn’t one of them.
On July 29, dispatchers received a 911 hang-up from an apartment in the 7000 block of West Forest Home Avenue, according to the Greenfield Police Department.

When police called back, a man told them his child was playing with the phone. When an officer said they’d be coming over to check on the situation, the man told them he was leaving immediately and wouldn’t be home.
Turns out the man had an open warrant with the South Milwaukee Police Department, and no one, not surprisingly, answered the door when police responded.

The man was issued a citation.
