More Than 200 Oxycodone Pills Confiscated in Bust

Greenfield police pulled over two men while investigating theft from cars in the 6000 block of South 35th Street on Monday.

Greenfield police investigating a suspicious vehicle near 27th Street and Ramsey Avenue confiscated more than 200 Oxycodone pills from a Milwaukee man Monday evening.

According to the Greenfield Police Department report, police responded to a report of a man in his 20s going through two vehicles parked in the driveway of a home in the 6000 block of South 35th Street at approximately 8 p.m.

A short time later, police stopped a vehicle with two occupants, a 44-year-old Milwaukee man, who was driving, and a 31-year-old Greenfield man, who was the passenger.

When police searched the Milwaukee car, which was registered to the Milwaukee man’s girlfriend, they found a cigarette pack that contained four suboxone strips, drug paraphernalia and four screw-top multicolored pill containers filled with pills.

Police counted 201 Oxycodone 30-milligram pills with a street value of $2,010.  They also confiscated $1,131 in cash from the 44-year-old man, whose girlfriend told police she had a prescription for Oxycodone and that her boyfriend had been selling her pills to pay rent and other bills.

No charges had been filed as of Thursday morning, but the 31-year-old Greenfield man was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and the 44-year-old booked for possession with intent to deliver and a municipal citation for obstructing.
