No Charges Issued in Alleged Child Enticement Incident

A 26-year-old Waukesha man was accused of trying to get a 16-year-old girl into his car.

The Milwaukee Country District Attorney’s office decided to not file charges against a 26-year-old Waukesha man for his alleged involvement in a .

The man was taken into custody by the early Friday evening after a 16-year-old Greenfield girl alleged the man tried to coerce her to get into his vehicle.

According to one of the girl’s statements in the police report, two 16-year-old students were walking home after school Friday afternoon when the man drove by, honked his horn and yelled to the girls.

According to one of the girls, the driver pulled up next to them and said something to effect of, “Hey, you’re gorgeous, you should get in the car with me and we can do it.”

One of the girls told the driver she was 16, to which the driver allegedly responded he was first 18 and then 20 years old. The driver suggested again that the girls get in the car, but they declined.

The man told the Greenfield Police Department that he did approach the girls, honked his horn and told one of the girls that she was gorgeous and that he wanted to take her out to dinner. The man said when the girl told him they were 16, he wanted nothing to do with the girls and did not have further contact with them.

The man denied lying about his age and said he did not ask either girl to get in his car.

The man was issued citations for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license and for disorderly conduct for scaring one of the victims.
