Pair of Home Burglaries Reported on Greenfield's West Side

Two separate homes were believed to have been burglarized on or before July 22. The incidents do not, however, appear to be related.

Greenfield police are investigating a pair of burglaries on the city’s west side that do not appear to be related.

According to police, on July 22, residents of a home in the 4400 block of South 114th Street told police a basement window had been kicked in and $150 cash taken from the home while they were gone between 8 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. July 22.

A few days earlier, in the 11200 block of West Layton Avenue, a man who has been watching over his deceased sister’s home told police he believes it was entered several times without his permission between July 19-20.
