Police Blotter: Aldi Employee Reports a Shrimp-Napping

Four cases of the expensive food were reportedly stolen from the Greenfield grocery store last week.

Retail theft happens often in Greenfield with the usual incidents involving a large retail or grocery store chain and someone trying to walk out with clothing, electronics or some other common items.

But this kind of shoplifting doesn’t happen all that often.

On March 1 at 6 p.m., an employee at Aldi, 4615 W. Layton Ave., reported someone walked out with four cases of shrimp with a total value of $440.
