Police Blotter: Woman Arrested for Driving Stolen Car with Two Young Sons on Board

The woman, who also had a warrant for her arrest from the Brown Deer Police Department, told police she had paid a Milwaukee man $20 to use the car and did not know it was stolen.

A 40-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for allegedly driving a stolen SUV through Greenfield with her two 10-year-old sons in the backseat.

The woman was pulled over April 24 in the 4700 block of South 27th Street. She told police she was on her way to pick up her daughter from work, but the vehicle she was driving, a 2012 Honda CRV SUV, had been listed stolen by the Grande Chute Police Department two weeks earlier.

The woman, who also had a warrant for her arrest from the Brown Deer Police Department, told police she had paid a Milwaukee man $20 to use the car and did not know it was stolen.

She was booked with felony receiving stolen property.

  • An employee at , 5505 S. 27th Street called to report four vehicles had parts removed from them between Saturday, April 21 and 8:20 a.m. Monday, April 23. One vehicle was missing a wheel, both bumpers and both mirrors.
  • A 32-year-old man was arrested for allegedly operating while intoxicated in the 5900 block of South 27th Street at 1:10 a.m. April 23.
  • An employee at , 4285 S. 76th Street, reported a male customer stole four video games from the store at approximately 11:45 a.m. April 23.
  • An employee at , 6025 S. 27th Street, reported damage to playground equipment at the school at 12:45 p.m. April 23.
  • A woman reported her 40-inch Sony LCD television was stolen from her house in the 5400 block of South 43rd Street at 9:20 p.m. April 23.
  • An employee at , 6141 S. 27th Street reported rims were stolen off a vehicle at 9:40 a.m. April 24.
  • A 32-year-old woman was taken into custody for allegedly hindering at 4:15 p.m. April 25 after police found her asleep in her vehicle in the 4300 block of West Layton Avenue.
  • A resident in the 4600 block of South 69th Street reported his “Stand With Walker” yard sign was missing at 12:30 p.m. April 25.
  • A resident reported April 26 that a credit card account was opened in his name and used to open a PayPal credit account. The resident told police approximately $500 of the $3,000 credit limit had been used.
  • A 62-year-old woman was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after allegedly arguing and hitting an employee at an apartment complex at 4055 South 65th Street at 8:15 p.m. April 26.
  • A 31-year-old man was arrested for alleged drunk-driving in the 5600 block of West forest Home Avenue at 1:35 a.m. April 27. If convicted, it would be his first offense.
  • A 22-year-old man was arrested for alleged drunk-driving in the 10700 block of West Layton Avenue at 3 a.m. April 27. If convicted, it would be his first offense.
  • A 36-year-old man was arrested for theft after allegedly walking out of without paying his bill at 4 p.m. April 27.
  • A 35-year-old man was issued a citation for allegedly operating a go-kart without a licensed track in the 4400 block of South 65th Street at 9 p.m. April 27.
  • A 26-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to a call reporting the man and a female had been arguing for an hour in the 7300 block of West Southridge Drive at 3 a.m. April 28.
  • A resident reported a safe was taken from the residence in the 3000 block of W. Cold Spring Road at 5 a.m. April 28.
  • A 40-year-old man was arrested for drunk-driving after police received a call from another driver who said the suspect had been swerving all over the road and almost hitting other cars at the intersection of South 108th Street and West Cold Spring Road at 3:20 p.m. April 28.
  • A 31-year-old man was arrested for alleged possession of drug paraphernalia after he was stopped for traffic in the 4900 block of South 76th Street at 6 p.m. April 28.
  • A 28-year-old man was arrested for second-offense OWI, operating after revocation and resisting arrest after a traffic stop in the 4900 block of West Layton Avenue at 1:15 a.m. April 29.
