Police Blotter: Gas Station Attendent Robbed At Gun Point

No one was hurt during an armed robbery at gas station, 5909 S. 27th St, on Aug. 30.
According to the , a man with a black and gray handgun and wearing a black mask committed the robbery at 11:15 p.m.
The man was described as a white male, about 35-years-old, slim build and about 5-feet, 5-inches tall.
He was wearing a black zip-up sweatshirt and jeans during the robbery, according to police.
The following are more incidents reported in the department's police log from Aug. 29-Sept. 4:
- A 18-year-old woman was cited for alleged shoplifting at , 4601 S. 27th St., at 3 p.m. Aug. 29.
- A 22-year-old woman and a 15-year-old woman were taken into custody for alleged shoplifting at , 4279 S. 76th St., at 7 p.m. Aug. 29.
- A potted plant in the 4600 block of West Loomis Road was taken. The theft was reported on Aug. 30.
- A 48-year-old man was taken into custody for alleged theft at , 4771 S. 27th St., at 2:15 p.m. Aug. 30.
- A 31-year-old woman was taken into custody for allegedly throwing a trash can at her boyfriend's head at 11:45 p.m. Aug. 30.
- A 24-year-old was taken into custody after allegedly trying to pick a fight with another man in the parking lot, 4638 S. 76th St., at 2:45 a.m. Aug. 31. The man faces disorderly conduct and drunk driving charges.
- A 28-year-old man was taken into custody during the afternoon of Aug. 31 after allegedly cashing a check that belonged to his sister. The check was worth $68, according to police.
- A 21-year-old woman was taken into custody for alleged drunk driving at the corner of West Morgan Avenue and West Forest Home Avenue at 2:30 a.m. Sept. 1.
- Thirty tires were reported dumped behind , 4333 S. 108th St., during the evening of Aug. 31 or the morning of Sept. 1.
- A 38-year-old man was taken into custody for alleged drunk driving in the 4000 block of South 35th Street at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 3.
- A 33-year-old man was taken into custody for physically assaulting his wife at 10 p.m. Sept. 3.
- A 48-year-old man was taken into custody for allegedly driving drunk in the 4900 block of South 108th Street at 2:45 a.m. Sept. 4. It would be his fifth such offense.
- A 29-year-old woman was taken into custody for allegedly driving drunk at the corner of West Loomis Road and West Layton Avenue at 3 a.m. Sept. 4.
