Police Blotter: Man Allegedly Steals 23 Cans of Baby Formula

Security workers at reported to police a man allegedly stole nearly two dozen cans of baby formula during two separate trips to the store last week.

According to the report, while reviewing security footage from previous days, an employee noticed a man approximately 35 years old, 5-foot-11 and 200 pounds wearing a black, puffy jacket first came to the store at 12:50 p.m. Jan. 15 and returned at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 16. During those two visits, the made allegedly made off with 23 cans of Good Start baby formula.

  • A 42-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman were taken into custody for alleged possession of drug paraphernalia in the 5400 block of S. Tuckaway Lane at 1:05 a.m. Jan. 17.
  • A 24-year-old female was taken into custody for alleged drunk driving in the 9400 block of West Layton Avenue at 2 a.m. Jan. 17. If convicted, it will be her first offense.
  • A 29-year-old man was cited for disorderly conduct after allegedly telling bank employees at that he would blow up or rob the bank Jan. 17.
  • A 21-year-old woman was arrested for alleged drunk driving at the intersection of West Plainfield Road and West Loomis Road at 2:50 a.m. Jan. 18. If convicted, it would be her second offense.
  • A 47-year-old man was arrested for alleged drunk driving after he was found asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle at the intersection of West Loomis Road and West Howard Avenue at 3:10 a.m. Jan. 18. If convicted, it would be his first offense.
  • A 21-year-old man was arrested for allegedly operating an automobile while intoxicated with drugs and operating a vehicle after revocation of his license at approximately 4:20 p.m. Jan. 18.
  • An employee at Layton Petro Mart called police to report that two male suspects allegedly used a pry bar to gain entry to the business after hours. Once inside, the suspects took single packs of cigarettes and scratch-off lottery tickets.
  • A 38-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct at on Jan. 20 after he allegedly wrote an obscenity on the manager’s car and urinated next to the vehicle.
